Intake session must be completed in person with COVID-19 safety protocol in place. The UWM PSYCHOLOGY CLINIC is open for in-person and remote screening, therapy and assessment services with regular COVID-19 procedures and precautions. The MWU Psychology Clinic offers patients the opportunity to seek improved emotional and mental health. The Clinic conducts cognitive and diagnostic assessments for adults and children. The Clinic runs a 10 session group-based CBT program called “Cool Kids” for primary school aged children with anxiety. We also run a 12 session version of “Cool Kids” specifically modified to suit those children with autism spectrum disorder who also suffer significant symptoms of anxiety. Individual and group programs are offered generally for a one-hour session per week, in comfortable surroundings away from the main teaching areas where privacy can be assured. The Clinic offers assessments and a range of programs using specific psychological interventions targeted at particular client groups. We welcome a wide range of clients and strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions. The Clinic has a policy of working collaboratively with healthcare professionals who refer clients for therapy. MU Students receive therapy for free! The programs are carried out by staff and postgraduate students who are closely supervised. These programs run each school term.
